the dead air podcast: an audio-visual pod creating a platform for liverpool-based artists.

Since the minute we met Jess & Marc (@deadairvinyl), it was super clear that one of their major priorities in building Dead Air Records was to cultivate an enjoyable & supportive space for local music people.

Spending even a couple of minutes in their family-run, community-focused shop will show you that they’ve already accomplished that, but after briefly chatting with the pair about their goal of someday starting a podcast to platform local talent further, we were stoked to help them pull the trigger.

The Dead Air Podcast started as a weekly rundown of interesting second-hand picks from the shop, local artist spotlights, and Liverpool gig shout-outs. With the recent addition of live shop sets from local talent, it’s a hell of a good time to be a music fan in Liverpool.

“Maddie and Laurie were super professional, disarming and made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera which is something we’re not used to. They completed the project quickly and we were extremely happy with the results. We would love to work with them again. We couldn’t recommend them more!”
